Definitely one of my favorite actresses growing up but likely for reasons other than her acting. The lovely Tia Carrere is next:
Wayne's World - Cassandra Wong
Born into relatively wealth in Kowloon Bay (a neighborhood of Hong Kong), Cassandra Wong took to music at a young age. Eventually, the Wong's moved to the United States and settled in the growing Aurora, Illinois area.
As Cassandra grew older her natural tendency to rebel, present in all teenagers, when combined with her musical talents led her to start a local rock band: Crucial Taunt. While struggling to gain notoriety in the burgeoning suburban-Illinois rock scene, Cassandra crossed paths with another local celebrity: Wayne Campbell.
The two developed a friendly relationship with Wayne harboring deeper feelings for Cassandra. These feelings ultimately led Wayne to coordinate an audacious plan to have Frankie Sharp, of Sharp Records, an industry icon [1], watch Cassandra and Crucial Taunt play.
The plan worked, and, depending on which ending you choose to believe, Crucial Taunt was given a multi-record deal with Sharp Records.
Wayne's World 2 - Cassandra Wong
Cassandra's rise to stardom continued unabated as her new producer, Bobby Cahn, is able to raise her profile in the industry, including appearing on Jay Leno.
Perhaps in an attempt to prove his equal to his girflriend, Wayne decides to throw a rock festival in Aurora. For much of the planning of this festival, Wayne is unable to drum up interest from bands, customers, or fans [2]. Wayne's impending failure leads to what may be a permanent schism with Cassandra as she looks to build her career without the weight of a needy man-child [3].
Eventually, Wayne and Cassandra make up and Waynestock inexplicably becomes a success. But the break from Bobby, ditching him at the alter, results in Cassandra's music career being destroyed (thanks Wayne).
High School High - Victoria Chapell
After the euphoria of Waynestock had passed, Cassandra realized the mistakes she had made in throwing her long-sought career in music away for the likes of Wayne Campbell (I'm not being too harsh am I?).
In an attempt to regain her position in the industry, Cassandra dumped Wayne (good), moved to Los Angeles, and adopted a new stage name: Victoria Chapell. Knowing she couldn't survive in LA without a day-job, Victoria became an assistant to Principal Evelyn Doyle at Marion Barry High School, an "inner-city" school with a in a state of "disarray and disorder".
Shortly after Victoria took a job at the school, a new teacher, Richard Clark, began teaching there as well. Unattractive, but much older, mature, and accomplished than her prior love interest, Victoria took a liking to Richard; surely he wouldn't commit the same childish acts and mistakes that her prior paramour did.
After the realization that Principal Doyle conspired with a local gang leader to falsify test scores in order to maintain Marion Barry High's lackluster record (yea, that happened), Richard (now Principal; see? a much better boyfriend) and Victoria worked together to continue to improve the students' lives.
Jury Duty - Monica Lewis
After the scandal had subsided, Victoria, a now long-time assistant Principal wished to be promoted. But having been so close to the now disgraced (and jailed?) Principal Doyle she couldn't get a fair shake. She moved across town and had her name legally changed to Monica Lewis, with the intent of starting a new career in her other long-held interest: art.
After breaking up with Richard (who likely had a heart attack as a result of his age and stress) and while attending school part-time (and working in an office [4]), Monica receives a jury summons. She ultimately is chosen to serve on the jury for the trial of Carl Wayne Bishop, a man accused of murder. Despite the appearance of a slam-dunk case, the trial drags on as a result of the antics of another juror, Tommy Collins [5]. The antics eventually lead to a mistrial, retrial, and dismissal following the admittance by another person for the murder.
With the case dismissed Monica begins dating Tommy (gross). This is perhaps the result of Monica's failed relationship with a do-gooder (Richard) and her missing the "good 'ole days" with Wayne. Thankfully, this relationship is not meant to last. As Monica earns her degree in Art History, she dumps Tommy and accepts a position at an antiques dealer in the Los Angeles area.
Around this time, the Monica Lewinsky scandal is in full speed. With a name like Monica Lewis, she can't avoid the jokes. So Monica, hoping to establish herself in the high-end antiques market, changes her name to Juno Skinner.
True Lies - Juno Skinner
Always the smart and driven hard-worker, Juno rises in the ranks of high-end antiques dealers, making connections across the world and becoming a semi-expert in diplomacy.
Eventually, Juno moves to the Washington DC area and founds a highly-respected antique dealership focused primarily on middle-eastern goods. After a number of years, Juno's connections resulted in her becoming enmeshed with Salim Abu Aziz, the leader of a terrorist organization known as the Crimson Jihad. In exchange for money, and lots of it, Juno works with Aziz and his group to smuggle weapons into the United States using her various antique dealings.
While on a trip to Europe, Juno meets a dashing yet mysterious business man named Harry Tasker. After returning to the States, Juno is contact by Harry again as he is looking for artwork for a corporate lobby project he is working on. However, Harry is revealed to be an Omega Sector agent working undercover in order to expose the Crimson Jihad network.
Juno, in far too deep know to extricate herself, works with Aziz to silence Harry, taking him and his wife hostage and absconding to the Florida Keys. While in the Keys, a fight and chase ensue, resulting in Juno and Helen Tasker locked in hand-to-hand combat. Ultimately, Helen escapes and the limousine carrying Juno crashes into the ocean and explodes.
She is considered deceased but without a body, one can never know for sure.
Best Quote Nominations
"Paco's gang always gets into other school dances, and they bring weapons to them."
- Victoria Chapell...seems like something you call the cops about.
"Oh Shit!"
- Juno Skinner...last words, quick and to the point.
Stray Notes & Observations
[1] As explained in greater detail then Sharp likely wanted by a Milwaukee security guard.
[2] Realistically, why would anyone go to this?
[3] I'm on #TeamBobby as I want Cassandra to be successful, but not supportive of Bobby's attempt to woo her romantically.
[4] Without going back and re-watching Jury Duty, which I'm NOT going to do (have you seen the trailer?), it's unclear what Monica's job is, but she looks professional.
